Food Allergy/ Sensitivity testing
This test detects foods that cause inflammation in the gut. We know that people with food sensitivities can experience a range of symptoms and health problems including bloating, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), migraine, skin rashes/eczema, fatigue, weight gain, brain fog and many more.
This test takes the “guess work” out of identifying the culprit food/s and provides us with an opportunity to offer a protocol that encourages gut healing, and hence symptom resolution.
Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is a complex disorder, characterised by excessive bacterial growth in the small intestine. Most people that suffer from SIBO have a common set of gastrointestinal symptoms that are related to an intolerance to fermentable carbohydrates and fibre. These symptoms include nausea, abdominal pain, cramps, bloating, acid reflux, diarrhoea and/ or constipation. It is believed that up to 70% of IBS patients suffer from SIBO.
SIBO testing can help confirm a diagnosis and identify the reasons for your symptoms, allowing us to implement strategies and advise on supplements for a better health outcome.
The Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) Protocol, is designed to help people with a whole range of physiological and psychological conditions.
It is a nutritional program with particular emphasis on the GAPS diet, supported by supplements and lifestyle changes. It essentially cleans up the digestive system allowing the gut to heal. It aims to restore the gut with beneficial flora and also reduce the body’s toxic load.
As GAPS consultants, we can help you with implementing the diet and guide you through the different stages.
